Two men injured in four-vehicle crash in Jefferson City

Two men were each moderately injured in a four-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson City, according to a Jefferson City Police Department news release.

Jonathan D. Gadd, 22, of Tipton, about 2:58 p.m., was northbound on Missouri Boulevard in a Ford pickup, when he failed to stop at a traffic light at U.S. Highway 50, according to the release.

Gadd’s pickup traveled into the path of an eastbound Toyota Highlander, driven by Rita K. Meyer, 63, Linn, according to the release. Highlander knocked the pickup into the westbound lanes, where it collided with a Toyota 4 Runner, driven by Steven Woerner, 31, of Jefferson City, and a Jeep Wrangler driven by Brady R. Stewart, 39, of Maryland Heights.

Gadd, Meyer and Stewart were wearing seat belts. Woerner was not wearing a seat belt.

Woerner was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

A private vehicle took Gadd to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
