Three people hurt in Miller County crash

Three people were injured Saturday after striking an embankment in Miller County.

Nishianna Thorp, 20, of Rocky Mount, was driving a 2002 Toyota Avalon westbound on U.S. Highway 54 with Joseph Wood, 24, of Eldon, and Jada Ahsam, 27, of Eldon, as passengers.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., Thorp attempted to change lanes and lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment east of Riley Mead Lane, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

The driver and passengers were wearing seatbelts and received minor injuries. All three were transported by Lake Ozark EMS to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
