California track & field wins three championships at Conference Meet

California track and field competed in Osage at the Tri-County Conference Meet and won three conference championships.

Emma Braby won the conference championship in the girls shot put with a best throw of 10.34 meters and a combined throwing distance of 33.11 meters. Braby also finished second place in the girls javelin with a best throw of 32.33 meters and a combined throwing distance of 106-00.75 meters, and fourth place in the girls discus with a best throw of 28.56 meters and a combined throwing distance of 93-08.50 meters.

Kenzleigh Goans won the conference championship in the girls 3,200-meter run with a time of 13 minutes and 8.51 seconds. Goans also finished second place in the girls 5:29.58.

Lauren Friedrich won the conference championship the girls 200-meter dash with a time of 27.81.

Allie Heather took third place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.95.

Lanie Holtsclaw took fourth place in the girls javelin with a best throw of 29.39 meters and a combined throwing distance of 96.05 meters.

The girls 4x200 meter relay team finished second place in the relay with a time of 1:52.97.

Ayden Bryant finished third place in the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 11.45. Bryant also took fifth place in the boys long jump with a best jump of 5.96 meters and a combined jumping distance of 19-06.75 meters.

Ian Miller finished third place in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 52.63.

Jackson Hensley finished third place in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.20.

Walker Friedmeyer took fifth place in the boys triple jump with a best jump of 11.92 meters and a combined jumping distance of 39-01.25 meters.

The boys 4x100 meter relay team finished fifth place in the relay with a combined time of 47.81.

The boys 4x800 meter relay team finished second place in the relay with a combined time of 8:56.29.

The Lady Pintos finished fourth place as a team with 70 points, while the Pintos finished seventh place as a team with 32 points.

California will take part Saturday in the Class 3 District 4 Tournament.
