TIPTON -- A child has been relocated after two adults were arrested Friday on drug charges.

According to a Moniteau County Sheriff's Office news release, Robert J. Stoner II, 52, of Tipton, and Alisha N. Pearson, 42, of Tipton, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and possessing drug paraphernalia. Stoner was also arrested on suspicion of delivering a controlled substance (psilocybin mushrooms) while Pearson was arrested on suspicion of possessing the mushrooms. Both were transported to the Moniteau County Jail, where they are being held on no bond while awaiting formal charges.

The release said a 7-year-old child inside the residence was also located and later placed with family members.

The arrest came after the sheriff's office assisted the Tipton Police Department with a narcotics search warrant at the Tipton residence. Inside, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and drug paraphernalia were located.
