JAMESTOWN -- A free information session about emergency preparation classes is coming Monday to Jamestown.
According to Roger Pilkenton, Matthew Brown of the Boone County Office of Emergency Management will be discussing its' Community Emergency Response Team at a free meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Jamestown Community Building, 130 E. Row St. The class will be presented to the Moniteau County Crime Watch organization, but anyone is welcome to attend.
"Disasters such as storms, road accidents, fires, and others have found to be of less impact when citizens are prepared and have basic response skills," Pilkenton wrote in an email to the Democrat.
