Methamphetamine and active warrants landed a California woman behind bars.

According to a Moniteau County Sheriff's Office news release, Jamie N. Earnheart, 28, of California, was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), driving on a suspended license and active warrants from Cole County following a traffic stop. Earnheart was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending formal charges.

The release said deputies stopped Earnheart at 3 a.m. Monday on Lookout Trail for speeding. During the stop, deputies discovered Earnheart had a suspended drivers license and no insurance on the vehicle. Furthermore, deputies also learned Earnheart was wanted on an active warrant from Cole County for leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license, and that she was currently on probation and parole for possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities then located a clear bag containing a white residue in the center console. The bag tested positive for methamphetamine.
