California Middle School and California High School athletes ran against eight other schools at the Vienna Eagle Cross Country Invitational on Sep. 6.
In the middle school girls 2,500-meter run, 42 total runners competed. Madalyn Rademan finished second place with a time of 11:32.8. Atley Howard finished ninth place with a time of 12:58.6 and Morgan Wingate finished 36th place with a time of 16:34.1.
In the middle school boys 2,500-meter run, 67 total runners competed. Moses Bestgen finished eighth place with a time of 11 minutes and 4.2 seconds (11:04.2). Morgan Redcay finished 16th place with a time of 11:20.5. Oscar Rohrbach finished 17th place with a time of 11:22.5 and Owen Lenning finished 24th place with a time of 11:35.2. Amos Rohrbach finished 31st place with a time of 12:10.9. The Middle School boys finished second place as a team with a combined 83 points.
In the high school girls 5K Run, 54 total runners competed. Kenzleigh Goans won the 5K with a time of 22:51.3. Camryn Wingate finished 16th place with a time of 27:57.6. Hillary Roney finished 18th place with a time of 28:21.6. Abbigail Stuedle finished 30th place with a time of 31:15.7. Ava Bryant finished 35th place with a time of 31:57.0. Emma Farmer finished 36th place with a time of 32:08.2. Miranda Lewellen finished 39th place with a time of 34:27.1. Reghan Lewis finished 50th place with a time of 42:02.3 and Ivy Scroggins finished 51st place with a time of 43:43.2. As a team, the Lady Pintos won the team competition with 23 points.
In the high school boys 5K Run, 71 total runners competed. Connor Farmer finished tenth place with a time of 21:14.1. Damien Pace finished 19th place with a time of 22:02.8. Caleb Howard finished 25th place with a time of 22:33.6. Andrew Reed finished 31st place with a time of 23:01.0. Gideon Banderman finished 46th place with a time of 24:09.3. Eusebio Lopez finished 57th place with a time of 26:28.5 and Francisco Martinez finished 66th place with a time of 33:32.3. As a team, the Pintos finished fifth place in the team competition with a 121 points.
Both the middle school and high school cross country teams will race again at the Boonville Cross Country Meet on Tuesday.
