Garrett Fuller/News Tribune — California High School class of 2023 member Lucas Oswald was remembered Saturday during the third annual Lucas Oswald three-on-three basketball tournament at California High School. Parents Matt and Tabby Oswald have held the tournament each year since his death in July 2021 to raise funds to send local students to the Missouri Snow Valley Basketball Camp, a four-day basketball skill camp Lucas wanted to attend but was unable to do so before his unexpected death.
Basketball was in Lucas Oswald’s heart.
After Lucas’ death in July 2021, his heart changed Ken Fager’s life.
The Fager family made the 600-mile trip from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to attend the third annual Lucas Oswald three-on-three basketball tournament Saturday morning at California High School.
