Solar eclipse leaves local students in awe

For many California Elementary School students, Monday's solar spectacle eclipsed anything they had ever seen before.

Sunny skies allowed for optimal viewing of the partial solar eclipse, which briefly darkened the skies as area students and others gazed at the sun through protective glasses.
