Pintos earn first, second and third place wins in same week

California Pintos golf competed in three tournaments last week and took home a first, second and third place finish.

On April 10, the Pintos went to Ashland for the Southern Boone Classic at Eagle Knoll Golf Club. Fifteen teams and 75 total golfers competed in the event. The Pintos took third place in the event and had three golfers place in the top 15 in the individual compeition. William Boyd finished sixth place, Ayden Howard finished 13th place and Jackson Hackett finished 15th place.

The next day, the Pintos played host to Hallsville, New Bloomfield and Russellville in the California Quad at California Country Club. The Pintos emerged victorious in the Quad by finishing with a team score of 153.

California's final event of the week was Monday. The event was the Sacred Heart Invitational at the Sedalia Country Club. The Pintos finished second place with a team score of 309. In the individual competition, William Boyd finished fourth place with a score of 71 (+1). Ayden Howard finished sixth place with a score of 77 (+7) and Boden Wasser finished 15th place with a score of 80 (+10).

The Pintos continue their quest to repeat as state champions this week two more events.

California will be one of four teams at the Centralia Quad at Old Hawthorne in Columbia. California will then travel to Tanglewood for the Tri-County Conference Tournament.
