Russellville High School addition construction on time, under budget

Project due to be complete this summer

Democrat photo/Garrett Fuller — Although it's 9 a.m. Friday and the halls inside Russellville High School are empty as school is out for a vacation day, a masonry crew with Gibbs Construction, of Jefferson City, prepare for another day outdoors bricklaying on the western face of the school's new eight-classroom addition. After the crews complete the remaining 10 percent of the western wall, they will move to completing the northern exterior wall. Groundbreaking for the addition was June 7, and the project is expected to be complete this summer and ready for use in the fall semester.

Brick by brick, Russellville High School's eight-classroom addition has taken shape.

What was a parking lot June 7 during the project's groundbreaking has slowly evolved into an extension of the school.
