Highway Patrol inspections address minor concerns on area buses

MSHP data — Missouri Highway Patrol inspections found four school districts — Clarksburg C-II, Cole R-I, Latham R-V and Prairie Home R-V — had no defects on their buses during 2023 inspections. California R-I had one bus rejected, and joined High Point R-III and Jamestown C-II in having out-of-service buses. California R-I Superintendent Daniel Williams said all buses on a lot are inspected, regardless of its status.

Four of seven area districts aced their school bus examinations in 2023.

The remaining three districts -- California R-I, High Point R-III and Jamestown C-I -- needed improvement, according to 2023 Missouri Highway Patrol school bus inspection reports.
