Library to host solar eclipse class

Purchasing interactive kits for preschool, young elementary children

Instead of purchasing additional science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) kits, the library has added Tonies to its collection of interactive items available for parents to check out for their children. A child can set one of the more than 20 Tonies figurines on top of the Toniebox's magnetic base, which will bring it to life. Depending on the figurine, the Toniebox will sing or read to the child. The Toniebox kits should be available for checkout starting sometime next week.

The Moniteau County Library is preparing for the upcoming partial solar eclipse.

Director Ashli Wood said at the March 20 board of trustees meeting that employee Emily Gray will host eclipse programming at noon Monday to prepare people for the April 8 solar eclipse.
