Moniteau County Crime Watch to discuss radio communications

During emergencies, communication can be life or death.

In addition to connecting us in everyday life, they can be useful for connecting with others in emergency situations or times where other methods may not be possible.

Ham radio operator Anthony Brittingham will lead a discussion on how radio waves and related technologies -- cell phones, ham radios, short-wave radios and more -- impact our lives. The discussion will be held during Moniteau County Crime Watch's monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday in the public meeting room at Co-Mo Electric Cooperative's headquarters, 29868 Missouri 5, Tipton.

The meeting is free to attend, and refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Roger Pilkenton at 660-841-5049.
