Country artists Big & Rich will return to Jefferson City to headline Salute to America's Concert Inside the Walls, festival organizers announced Sunday.

Tickets for the June 30 show cost $54 and went on sale as of 1 p.m. Sunday. Forty VIP tickets became available at $250 each.

The show features three opening bands: Crossroad Station, which blends deep-rooted country, rock and blues to create a unique guitar-driven sound; Murphy's Ford, a local duo that plays "edgy get-out-of-your-seat country rock and roll;" and Stone Senate, a five-piece contemporary southern rock band from Nashville, Tennessee.

Big & Rich (Big Kenny and John Rich) burst onto the scene in 2004 with their triple-platinum debut, "Horse of a Different Color." The album featured the hit song, "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)."

They made an appearance at Walmart, 724 W. Stadium Blvd., in 2005, to promote their new album at the time. In 2006, they were one of the musical acts at the Missouri State Fair.

In their song "Comin' to Your City," the country duo mentions Jefferson City: "Now L.A.'s got the freaks and Pinks and fifteen-dollar drinks, and San Antonio was a wild wild rodeo, and in Phoenix, Arizona, we drank way too much Corona, and we woke up by the river in Jeff City, MO."

In 2009, the two parted ways to make solo albums, then reunited in 2012. Their most recent album, "Did it for the Party," was released in 2017.

VIP tickets include guaranteed front section seating, parking, an "A"-Hall BBQ dinner, souvenir chair-in-a-bag, VIP lanyard, concierge beverage service with unlimited drinks and a swag bag. Limited meet-and-greet opportunities with Big & Rich also will be available.

Proceeds will help to fund the free two-day Salute to America celebration and important prison restoration projects.

The Missouri State Lottery is presenting the show and will offer a VIP experience contest along with an opportunity to be upgraded to the "best seats in the house."

Doors to the show will open at 4 p.m. and the first band will start at 5 p.m. Complete dinners, catered by Prison Brews, will be available for $20 on a limited basis with assigned seating times. Champs Chicken will be onsite along with other food options, and beverages provided by Fechtel will be sold.

This will be the third Inside the Walls concert at the Missouri State Penitentiary, once known as "the bloodiest 47 acres in America." This decommissioned prison, located at 115 Lafayette St., is now a tourist attraction managed by the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Special business packages are available for the concert. Sponsorships start at $1,500 and include advertising along with a 10x10-foot hospitality tent space, 10 tickets to the event, private beverage delivery service and bathrooms.
