No mail delivery will occur on Wednesday, Dec. 5, as the U.S. Postal Service observes a national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush.

Post office retail and services also will be closed. There will be no first-class letter mail delivery and no newspaper or magazine deliveries through the mail.

The closing will delay mail delivery of the California Democrat by one day.
