Tipton woman arrested for meth

A vehicle stop for a license plate violation resulted in the April 6 arrest of a Tipton woman for methamphetamine.

Deputies with the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office conducted the stop on U.S. 50 and asked for a consent to search the vehicle of Betty Lou Lindsey, 51, of Tipton.

She granted the search and methamphetamine was located. Lindsey was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth). She was taken into custody and transported to the Moniteau County Jail; bond is set at $25,000.
