A Macks Creek man was arrested for illegal drug possession this week in Moniteau County.
Clinton Clough, 31, was arrested Monday when deputies were dispatched to Route C, just north of High Point, to investigate a vehicle parked at a construction zone on the road, according to Moniteau County Sheriff's Department reports.
A woman in the vehicle was found passed out and believed to have suffered a drug overdose. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Clough, the driver, also appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Deputies reportedly found Clough in possession of the controlled substance Suboxone.
Court records show he was on probation for possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property when he was arrested in this case.
