Tipton man arrested after Friday shootings

After allegedly shooting two people and injuring a third Friday evening, a Tipton man was shot and apprehended by law enforcement in Moniteau County.

Bobby Moore has been charged with first and second degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful possession and use of a weapon, according to a Moniteau County Sheriff's Office press release.

Moniteau County Emergency Dispatch received several reports of gunshots at 11:56 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of High Street in Tipton.

Officers found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds upon their arrival.

In addition to sheriff's deputies, the Tipton Police Department and Missouri Highway Patrol responded.

Moore is accused of shooting a woman whom he previously dated, shooting a second woman and striking another woman in the head with a handgun before fleeing the scene.

Tipton Marshal Edward Wiecken and other officers were canvassing the area after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Cooper Street.

Officers observed Moore with a handgun and ordered him to drop the weapon. Moore advanced toward the officers with the gun. Wiecken fired five rounds hitting Moore, who was flown to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Moore is in stable condition under guard by Moniteau County officers. The Missouri Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control are assisting with the investigation.
