Two Mid-Missouri residents were injured Saturday evening when the pickup truck they occupied ran off a Morgan County road, struck a tree and overturned.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Braden C. Beckmann, 19, of Stover, was driving the pickup southbound on Missouri 135 just north of Mini Farm Road at 5:25 p.m. when the crash occurred. He was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment of moderate injuries and to determine if he was fit for confinement.

An arrest report indicates the patrol suspected Beckmann of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving a crash, no seat belt and no insurance.

His passenger, Grant A. Hutchison, 19, of Versailles, received minor injuries and also was taken to Lake Regional for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt during the wreck, the patrol said.
