Clarksburg School District gets positive audit

CLARKSBURG, Mo. - An audit from Missouri State Highway Patrol showed positive results for Clarksburg C-2 School District.

Principal Superintendent Nathan Bestgen said a record keeping and background check audit takes place every three years in the district. The Highway Patrol ensures districts are vetting new hires and keeping records correctly.

"That (the audit) came back all clear," Bestgen said. "No violations and no findings." The audit took place Feb. 27 .

Winter weather has added several make-up days to the remainder of the school year. Make-up days will be held April 22 and May 10-16. The last day for the school year will be May 16.

In other action at the Feb. 21 meeting, the board learned:

Co-Mo Electric Co-Op in Tipton gave a presentation on electricity safety Feb. 14 to fourth- through sixth-grade students.

A PTO carnival was held Feb. 23.

The next board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 21.
