Four charged with drugs in Moniteau County

Four people were arrested on drug charges after a recent drug investigation in California.

Deputies reported spotting marijuana in plain view inside a vehicle they stopped Saturday for defective equipment, prompting them to search the vehicle and find marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to information from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department.

Four occupants were arrested and taken to the county jail, where bond was set at $25,000 for each.

Charged with possession of a controlled substance for the methamphetamine were: Shea Archibeque, 26, of Sedalia; Adam Shephard, 30, of Fulton; and Jacob Gerloff, 18, and Makayla Wallace, 21, both of California.
