California resident arrested for firearms

A California resident was arrested Oct. 22 for unlawful possession of a firearm, with multiple firearms being confiscated at their address.

April Jackson was arrested for the weapons offense, after the California Police Department received a report of possible explosives in firearms located at the residence on Oak Street.

All told, 11 firearms were confiscated from the property, along with 20 boxes of assorted ammunition and one box of assorted fireworks, listed on the police report as "possibly M80s."

The offense is still under investigation at this time.
