A Kansas City area man was arrested this past weekend for possession of illegal drugs in Moniteau County.

Deputies were dispatched Saturday to the area of routes CC and C in reference to a suspicious person walking on the roadway, according to Moniteau County Sheriff's Department reports.

Deputies made contact with Dustin Wolgamott, 31, of Blue Springs, who said he had been up all night and was looking for his vehicle in Eldon.

Deputies later learned he was on probation/parole for possession of a controlled substance and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

Deputies searched his backpack and allegedly located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Wolgamott reportedly said he used the items to smoke heroin.
