California Police Department makes multiple arrests in drug bust

Officers with the California Police Department, along with the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office and the Mustang Drug Task Force, made a handful of drug arrests Oct. 5.

The CPD previously received information of possible narcotics activity in locations within the city limits of California and, after an investigation, was able to serve search warrants at both locations - the ensuing search uncovered several firearms, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, pills, marijuana, scales and other items used in the sale of narcotics.

The following six arrests were made upon the discovery of the items:

Lisa D. Porter, felony driver of a controlled substance, felony delivery of a controlled substance, four counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony delivery or concealing prohibited articles on premises and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance with a surety bond set at $100,000; Taylor D. Porter, possession of controlled substance with a surety bond set at $25,000; Ricky L. Watts, delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and surety bond set at $50,000; Alexandria M. Gerhardt, felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia with a surety bond set at $25,000; Taylor A. Watts, possession of a controlled substance with surety bond set at $25,000; and Jeffrey T. Gabert, possession of a defaced firearm with surety bond set at $1,000.
