Russellville Lady Indians celebrate Senior Night

Russellville’s senior softball players are Elizabeth Kauffman, Hannah Malzner and Erica Schweer.

The Russellville Indians softball team celebrated three seniors Oct. 1 on the team's Senior Night: Elizabeth Kauffman, Hannah Malzner and Erica Schweer.

Elizabeth Kauffman is the daughter of Tim and Tina Kauffman. Elizabeth has been a member of the Lady Indians softball team all four years of high school. She has also been a member of FFA for four years and the manager of the Indians Baseball team for four years. She plans to attend a two-year program or a tech school. She is undecided on a career in nursing or education.

Hannah Malzner is the daughter of Kent and Debbie Malzner. Hannah has been a member of the Lady Indians softball team all four years of high school. She has been a member of the track team for three years, manager of the basketball team for two years, an FFA member for three years, a member of the BETA Club all four years and a member of Multicultural Club all four years. She is undecided on a college at this time, but wants to study to be an occupational therapist.

Erica Schweer is the daughter of Christy Meller and the late Justin Schweer. Erica has been a member of the Lady Indians softball team all four years of high school. She has also been a member of the cross country team for four years. She was a member of the track team her freshman year, a member of FFA for four years and is a member of the National Honor Society. Erica is undecided on a two- or four-year college at this time. She has offers to play college softball and plans to play throughout college. She plans to study elementary education and to continue her love for softball by coaching at the high school level.
