Teachers with the Jr. and Sr. High Schools in California and Tipton put their heads together this week to come up with a joint fundraising effort benefitting Moniteau County Toys for Tots.
Schools in both Moniteau County cities will participate in a "Blue Jean" week Nov. 4-8 - for a $5 donation to Toys for Tots, teachers can wear jeans to work for the entirety of the week.
Moniteau County Program Coordinator Dan Mesey said this is a prime example of why teachers deserve community support.
"Our county is blessed with teachers that truly care about their children, and this is just another example," Mesey said. "We should always support our teachers."
