MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo. -- Operations to improve the driving surface of Missouri Route 87 in Moniteau County began this week.

Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation are scheduled to patch several sections of Route 87 between Route C and Little Moniteau Road. Work started Monday.

One lane will be closed at each location 7 a.m.-4 p.m., and traffic will be flagged through the work zone. Motorists are advised that some delays could take place. Drivers are asked to be patient, obey traffic signs and allow plenty of room for crews to work.

Work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information about this project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook and Twitter for project updates.
