The Moniteau County Health Center reported the 16th death of a county resident due to the coronavirus Monday, the first in the month of December.

The individual was a resident in their 90s, according to the Health Center.

Monday's reported death is also Moniteau County's first COVID-19 death since nearly a month ago on Nov. 16.

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
