Fanfare is set to be the Finke Theatre’s first act of the new year, performing Jan. 16, 2021 at 7 p.m.

The Finke Theatre's first performance of the new year is on tap midway through January.

The Finke is set to host Fanfare on Jan. 16, 2021 at 7 p.m. The show is sponsored by Tipton Latham Bank, the E.M. Burger Memorial Foundation and the Missouri Arts Council.

Fanfare, led by lead vocalist Kittie Moller, plays a variety of styles: Motown, R&B, classic rock, disco, pop, country, standards and jazz, big band and the music of today.

Founding members Moller and keyboard player started working together in Fanfare in Jan. 1976, meaning the pair has collaborated for 44 years. Other band members include Lanny Boles on drums, a member of the group since 2005, and featured guitarist Dave Black.

The band has played all over St. Louis and the country at clubs, hotels, conventions, fairs, festivals and concerts. Past engagements include playing before St. Louis Rams home games, a USO tour to Africa, and conventions for General Motors in Austin, Texas, among others.
