Moniteau County Regional Economic Development members heard updates on MRED's ongoing programs and its upcoming annual meeting Feb. 12 at its meeting.

Progress continues for Startup Moniteau/LaunchU and Central Missouri Business Leaders. MRED President/CEO Mike Kelley said participants in the LaunchU program were gearing up for the class's business pitch competition at the time of MRED's monthly meeting and are making good progress.

Central Missouri Business Leaders will continue its monthly meeting series today, where attendees will hear from speaker Tina Kirchoff on the topic of cash management for a business. As per usual, the meeting begins with a social hour starting at 8:30 a.m. at The Gathering Place.

MRED's annual meeting continues to approach, with the date set for April 9 at Sweet Chipotle. Kelley said invites have been sent, and he's already received a little under a dozen responses to RSVP. He informed members MRED has a March 20 RSVP deadline to have an accurate meal count for the event.

The group also discussed its slate of officers for 2020-21, which will be voted on and approved at the April 9 meeting. The slate doesn't have to be finalized until the March meeting, so the group will discuss the list more at its next meeting.

MRED's next regular meeting will take place at noon March 11.
