Moniteau County committee to make recommendation to fill assessor vacancy

At the request of the Governor's office, the Moniteau County Republican Central Committee will be making a recommendation to Gov. Mike Parson to permanently fill the vacancy created following the resignation of former County Assessor Amanda Trimble Jan. 1.

Individuals with an interest should submit, by Feb. 1, a written or emailed application to the MCCC.

The committee will be looking at the following criteria: the individual must meet all statutory requirements of the office of assessor and must be a bonafide Republican prepared to run for the position in 2020.

Individuals interested in this position that can comply with this criteria may send a resume to the committee, addressed to MCCC Vice Chairman Judy Wittenberger at 21785 Cave Spring Rd., Jamestown, MO 65046, or by email to [email protected].

All Moniteau County office vacancies are filled by gubernatorial appointment, so applicants will also need to fill out an application online with the Governor's office at boards.mo.gov. Applicants may create an account and complete their application on the website by selecting the "Moniteau County Assessor" option.
