Man nearly drowns, arrested at Lake

A Chesterfield man was arrested for resisting arrest after he almost drowned Friday night during an incident at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Law enforcement was called to the 7.4-mile mark of the main channel around 10:22 p.m. to rescue Jason R. Federer, 25, after he had some trouble swimming, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, which also stated he was highly intoxicated and had been banned from Shady Gators waterfront bar and restaurant.  He was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment.

A patrol arrest report accused Federer of assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest and assault on a special victim.
