Man arrested for DWI charged for multiple offenses

A Missouri man was arrested on a number of charges following a DWI last week.

On May 27, deputies with the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office were on routine patrol on Highway 50 near Flag Springs Road. Deputies were flagged down by a citizen who stated they were following a vehicle that suddenly stopped in the middle of the roadway and walked around the vehicle yelling at the passenger. The driver then got back in his vehicle and continued driving on the highway, traveling east on Highway 50.

Deputies caught up with the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near Kiley Ford Road, making contact with the driver identified as Travis M. Bond, 36. Upon speaking with Bond, deputies detected a strong odor of alcohol and administered a standard field sobriety test. Bond could not perform the sobriety test and was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Upon search of Bond's person, deputies located a methamphetamine pipe. Bond was transported to the Moniteau County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, drug paraphernalia was also located on Bond.

Bond, of Qulin, was charged with driving while revoked/suspended, possession of a prohibited item in a jail, driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.
