Man injured in Miller County collision

A three-vehicle crash Friday morning in Miller County sent one man to the hospital with moderate injuries.

A northbound 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 16-year-old boy from Eldon failed to stop at 11:40 a.m. at a stop sign on Village Marina Road at Route W.

The Silverado pickup truck pulled into the path of a southbound 1996 Ford dump truck driven by Jeremy D. Norris, 43, of Hale, and the dump truck struck the pickup.

After the collision, the dump truck crossed the center line of the road, struck a northbound 2015 Toyota Prius and then overturned.

Norris, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Lake Ozark Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.

The driver of the Toyota - Karen A. Bunch, 70, of Eldon - and the teenage male driver of the pickup were not injured. Bunch was wearing a seat belt, and the 16-year-old was not.

The dump truck was extensively damaged, and the car and pickup truck were totaled.
