2 men hurt in Camden County accidents

Two men from Iberia were hurt in separate accidents Tuesday in Camden County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the first accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on private property located at Route HH at Duckhead Road, just north of Horseshoe Bend Parkway.

Dusty Russell, 35, was cutting brush on a track loader on an embankment of Horseshoe Bend. The vehicle lost traction and began to skid sideways down the hill, finally overturning.

Russell was treated for moderate injuries.

The second accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. on Route TT at Three Oaks Drive, the patrol reported.

A tractor-trailer driven by Adam Ray, 22, was traveling downhill toward a curve when the weight and momentum of the loaded trailer caused the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise and jackknife. The truck and trailer went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Ray was treated for minor injuries.
