Students gather in County Assessor Bill Figgins’ office at the courthouse to learn more about his position. Jamestown and Tipton sophomores and juniors learned the ins and outs of county government last Thursday at the American Legion’s eighth annual Moniteau County Government Day in California. Participants heard from county officials regarding their duties, met delegates from their student bodies that attended last year’s American Legion Missouri Boys and Girls State programs, and more.
