Relay For Life to 'paint town purple'

Relay For Life of Moniteau County won't be hosted in person this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but organizers still have plans to recognize and celebrate cancer survivors by "Painting the Town Purple."

Relay For Life is encouraging all businesses and residences in Moniteau County to decorate in purple during the traditional Relay Week June 7-12. The organization will highlight the top private residence and business displays in California, Tipton, and Jamestown on social media and its Relay For Life website.

Judging of the Paint the Town Purple contest will take place June 12. Relay For Life will host a People's Choice award, where anyone can vote for their favorite display by liking it on the organization's Facebook page.
