There are currently no remaining active cases of COVID-19 in Moniteau County, the county Health Center announced Friday.
Moniteau County has seen 55 total cases, with 54 recoveries and one death.
Though no reported cases remain active, the county Health Center acknowledged cases may be present or may arise as they are identified through ongoing testing.
Health Center officials said in a news release it is important for members of the public to understand there have been cases of COVID-19 with no symptoms reported. Because of this, as well as confirmed cases in surrounding communities, the Health Center emphasized the importance of continuing to exercise precautions such as wearing face coverings when in public and adhering to social-distancing guidelines to limit the spread of respiratory diseases.
