The Missouri Highway Patrol reported Juan C. Aguado-Vasquez, 30, of California, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6 a.m. crash on U.S. 50 at Petree Road.

He was driving westbound in a Mazda pickup when an eastbound Mack truck crossed the center line and struck the pickup. The truck driver, Joseph S. Harrington, 32, of Bevier, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.
