LAKE OZARK, Mo. - Due to weather, a brief U.S. 54 closure in Lake Ozark has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin blasting rock to make way for the construction of a new eastbound U.S. 54 bridge.

In order for crews to safely perform the blasting, all U.S. 54 traffic near the interchange will be stopped around 11 a.m. Tuesday for up to 10 minutes, according to a MoDOT news release.

This work is part of the future interchange and roundabouts along U.S. 54, Business 54 and Miller County Route W.

Speed limits are reduced through the work zone. Motorists in the area are asked to plan for delays, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews in work zones.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
