Russellville cleanup begins today

Russellville's annual citywide cleanup starts today and ends Friday morning.

All trash pickup customers must be located inside city limits and abide by the following guidelines:

All items must be set at the curb by 5 a.m.

All items must be bagged or bundled so one person can easily handle them.

All lumber, guttering and other items of length must be tied in bundles and cut in 4-foot lengths so one person can easily handle them.

No hazardous waste materials will be accepted.

No liquid waste of any type, such as paints, pesticides or oil, will be accepted.

No yard waste, such as brush, limbs, grass or leaves, will be accepted.

No car parts, such as tires, batteries or motor oil, will be accepted.

No items will be accepted that are defined as "white goods" such as refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, washing machines or dryers.

No concrete or large solid items that could damage Republic Services equipment will be accepted.
