The Moniteau County Health Center reported last Wednesday it had been notified of another coronavirus-related death from last month.

The resident was in their 80s and passed away in March. There have now been 31 deaths due to COVID-19 recorded among Moniteau County residents since the start of the pandemic last year.

As of press time Tuesday, there are four active cases of COVID-19 among Moniteau County citizens, part of a total of 1,907 total cases recorded so far.

In total, 5,082 vaccines have been administered by Moniteau County Public Health, part of a total of 6,369 doses administered so far. That number equates to 22.7 percent of the county's population, which has initiated the vaccination process, helped in part by a mass vaccination event at the end of last month during which more than 1,100 doses were administered.
