Moniteau County bridge replacement scheduled for 2022

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking feedback on a project to replace the Moniteau County Route A bridge over Enon Creek, located west of Enon.

The existing bridge was built in 1939, and MoDOT officials said it has reached the point replacement is necessary. The proposed new bridge will raise the road grade by 6 inches to help with flooding.

Route A will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. The work is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on the project using the digital comment form at modot.org/EnonCreekBridge. The online public comment period is open through June 15.
