Moniteau County reports 30th COVID-19 death

The Moniteau County Health Center reported it was notified of the county's 30th death due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic Monday afternoon.

The deceased individual was a resident in their 90s; the death was recorded earlier this year in January. Per the Health Center's usual policy, no further identifying information about the individual was released.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Moniteau County has been low recently, with just two active cases reported on the Health Center's COVID-19 dashboard as of press time Tuesday. The county's most recent active case peak was seven cases, for four days in mid-March.

To date, Moniteau County has recorded 1,897 total cases of COVID-19 among members of its population since the start of the pandemic. The Health Center has administered 3,295 total COVID-19 vaccinations thus far.
