Business buys Longfellow's Garden Center

All-n-One Outdoor Solutions in Jefferson City acquired Longfellow's Garden Center and United Landscape Design and Neihart's Nursery in March.

Alice Longfellow and Bob Call founded Longfellow's Garden Center, at 12007 Lookout Trail in Centertown, in 1987.

Longfellow and Call will join the All-n-One Outdoor Solutions team, with Longfellow overseeing the nursery and retail operations at Longfellow's Garden Center while Call leads the overall operations.

"With over 30-plus years in business and a desire to potentially retire in three to five years, Bob and I wanted to ensure that this company could continue to thrive and my valued employees have the opportunity to work for a company that truly cares about their people," Longfellow said in a news release.

Chris Jordan, president of All-n-One Outdoor Solutions, said it was a "strategic move" to have a nursery to supply services to their customers and clients.

"For us, we enjoyed the opportunity to get with Bob and Alice and have them become a part of our team and show us that space and horticulture and help continue that business as they think about retirement," he said.

Longfellow's Garden Center will retain its name, Jordan added.

Jordan said he and his business partner, Shawn Burcham, wanted to enhance their hardscape and landscape division, as well as use a bulk yard and small retail yard, which United Landscape Design and Neihart's Nursery had.

Justin Neihart founded United Landscape Design and Neihart's Nursery in 2014, at 4834 Country Club Drive in Jefferson City. The business provide outdoor hardscape and landscape design services, among other services.

Neihart will join All-n-One Outdoor Solutions' team and lead the Hardscape Division.

"I am excited to join the All-n-One team and support their efforts to enhance each and every person's quality of life," Neihart said in a news release. "I'll be able to focus my efforts solely on those things that I am passionate about, and I can't wait to be part of this awesome team."

This month's acquisitions are two of five total businesses All-n-One Outdoor Solutions has acquired over the last three years. All-n-One Outdoor Solutions acquired Schlotz Outdoors, Meyer's Mowing and Dulle Lawn and Pest Management LLC previously.

All-n-One Outdoor Solutions provides a wide range of commercial and residential property services like hardscape and landscape design and install, mowing, fertilization, landscape maintenance, and irrigation install and service to the Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks and Columbia areas.

All-n-One Outdoor Solutions and Longfellow's Garden Center facilities are still open during the COVID-19 pandemic, Johnson said.
