Deputies with the Moniteau County sheriff's Office deputies arrested a Jamestown man on Jan. 29 on drug possession charges.

Nathaniele T. Squires, 23, of Jamestown, was arrested for possession of cocaine, a controlled substance.

Deputies were on routine patrol in the Jamestown area when they stopped a vehicle near the area of Highways 179 and 87. Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies detected an odor of marijuana and had Squires exit the car. After searching the vehicle, deputies located cocaine and arrested Squires. Deputies located more cocaine hidden on Squires, who was then transported to the Moniteau County Jail.

He will be held in the Moniteau County Jail until he is able to pass a urine test for drugs.
