Another free community coronavirus testing event is slated to take place in California next week.

The event, facilitated through a partnership between the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Missouri National Guard and local health departments, will take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Moniteau County Fairgrounds in California.

The test is not an antigen or antibody test. Rather, it is a PCR test done via a nasal swab to determine if there is an active infection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

The last community testing event in California facilitated by the DHSS and National Guard earlier this year resulted in no new positive cases, though the spread of COVID-19 is much more prevalent in Moniteau County at present as 88 cases are currently active.
