The weather delayed the start of a pair of girls basketball tournaments as well as the postponement of a wrestling quad dual.

The Helias Lady Crusaders will now start play Wednesday in the Peoples Bank Holiday Classic in Sullivan.

The tournament was scheduled to have four first-round games Monday, but those have all been moved to Wednesday.

Helias is the No. 2 seed and will face seventh-seeded Cuba at 5:30 p.m.

The semifinals in the winner's and loser's brackets, originally scheduled for Wednesday, will now be played Thursday at the same times as scheduled.

Helias will play at either 5:30 p.m. in a loser's bracket game or 8:30 p.m. in the winner's bracket.

The schedule for the trophy games Friday has not been changed.

The start of the Linn Invitational was pushed back a day.

The Invitational will now play three first-round games today — Linn vs. Newburg, St. Clair vs. Eldon and South Callaway vs. Capital City — starting at 5 p.m. On the Capital City High School calendar, Wednesday is listed as a day to play the tournament, which was a day off on the original schedule.

Blair Oaks was scheduled to host Fatima, Knob Noster and Palmyra in a wrestling quad dual Monday.

A potential reschedule date for the event has not been announced.
