California golf 7th at state

California finished in seventh place in the team standings Tuesday at the Class 2 State Golf Championship in Springfield with a 735.

At the end of the opening day Monday, the Pintos boys golf team stood at seventh. Jordon Geiser finished Monday with a score of 80. Jordan Bondurant had a score of 95, and Enoch Dunnaway had a score of 98, Chris Cassil had a score of 99 and Kyle Kirksey had a score of 105.

Jake Closser of Blair Oaks posted one of the low rounds Tuesday to receive all-state honors.

Two other area golfers also received all-state honors. Ori Bartlett of Versailles tied for 10th place with a 166, while California's Geiser tied for 12th with a 167.
